Chesham A v Amersham CC U13 on Fri 16 May 2008 at 18:00
Amersham CC Won by 7 wickets
Amersham U13s pulled off a famous victory against local rivals Chesham A.
On a ground with boundaries from Noddy Town Chesham set a daunting total of 133 off their 20 overs. The short boundaries were very difficult to defend but the Amersham ground fielding was good and a number of great stops kept the score down. Robert Lloyd and Ollie Lansdowne bowled very well and Alistair set clever fields to keep the slowest scoring batsmen on strike as much as possible.
The Amersham reply got off to a great 10 an over start until Tom Turnbull retired on 33 and Alistair was bowled for 17. This took the game away from Chesham and allowed the new batsman the chance to play themselves in. Robert played very well for his 33 not out. Sam baldwin played very sensibly and Daniel Goss smashed 3 boundaries to win the game in the 17th over.
A great game to watch that was much appreciated by the Amersham support.
