But what a fantastic effort under the circumstances and they never let their heads drop in the field despite the onslaught from two good Ley Hill batsmen who rattled up 217 on the small ground.

In reply the boys and girl of Amersham scored a very respectable 126 for 4 with Alex(andra) Rogers leading the way with 47 not out. Peter Hopkinson, who incindentally was plum LBW 2nd ball but the bowler declined to appeal, continues to improve with a very solid 29.
