A good effort from the U13s on a difficult wicket. We started very well with Robert Lloyd causing all the batsmen problems. Slippy conditions made it difficult for the seamers from the road end. The first 10 overs were very competitive and Beaconsfield were struggling. As the pitch dried batting became easier and with an extras score of 46 they eventually made a difficult to beat score of 106.
Amersham started poorly with the early dismissal of Tom Turnbull with a ball that popped up on him. Sam Baldwin and Henry Bowcock then consolidated the start and played some good shots to keep Amersham up with the run rate. The Beaconsfield spinners used the difficult pitch well and some low bounces accounted for a number of batsmen. A final score of 81 was a really good effort on this pitch.
