This was an excellent friendly which resulted in a Berkhamsted win with three balls to apare. All boys on both sides had a chance to bowl and most had the opportunity to bat too.

Amersham highlights were 31 no by Robert Lloyd, 29 by Olly Lansdowne and two little cameo innings at the end by Chris Kaye, 12no, and Matthew Fennell, 13 no and a good score of 115 for 3 was posted.

Berkhamsted progressed steadily towards their target with the innings anchored by Friedman, 31no, and good knocks from Mackie, 30no, and Butler-Cadre 24. Either side could have won but Berkhamsted squeezed home with 3 balls to spare and 5 wickets down, The Amersham ground fielding and catching was excellent although although a few run-out opportunities were missed.

We look forward to the return match at Shardeloes next Thursday afternoon.
