AMERSHAM CC News story

Thames Valley & Sunday League 2022 Fixtures Published

24 Jan 2022

Good Morning,

I hope you are wintering well and looking forward to the new season. With the dates for the pre-season

indoor nets now confirmed, the Thames Valley League Fixtures for 2022 have just been published over

the weekend and have been uploaded to the ACC website.

Our 2nd XI remain in Div 2a and will be playing in a very competitive division, with 6 1st XI's and 3 fellow

HCPL 2nd XI's. The teams new to this division from last season include returning Uxbridge CC plus

Wraysbury, NPL and High Wycombe 2. The first league game is away to Tring Park 2 on 7th May and

finishes with a trip to Uxbridge on 3rd September.

Both our 3rd and 4th XI were relegated last season to divisions 6a and 10b respectively, but hope to

bounce back immediately. The 3rd XI start with a home game against Hayes 3 and finish at home to

Princes Risborough. Plenty of other local opposition in Chenies & Latimer, Tring Park 3 and Chalfont

St Peter 2.

The 4th XI find themselves in a very tight geographic league, with plenty of local derbies against

Chenies & Latimer 3, Chesham 5, Chalfont St Peter 3, Gerrards Cross 3 & High Wycombe 5.

The Chess Valley League have also recently published their fixtures. Amersham remain in an enlarged

Division 1 for 2022, with 9 fixtures. They will be looking to improve on last seasons runner's up spot, with

7 of the oppostion the same as for 2021 plus newly promoted South Hampstead & Headstone Manor.

With best wishes,

Nick Piper, ACC Fixture Secretary
