Match report A brilliant start to the season began away at Marlow Town. After losing the toss, Woody and Ed Lloyd provided some early pressure which converted into 2 deserved wickets for the former, the first of which dismembering off stump, and the second an alert caught & bowled dismissal.

Ash came on in a first change partnership with Alex Cole, making it truly a Big&Small dynamic pairing. Ash grabbed wickets with his first and fourth balls, whilst Alex waited for his second over to get his well-earnt scalp. Ash's second over was a turbulent affair with 3 wickets to complete figures of 5-3 with no runs off the bat. Stellar performance from our skipper.

This pair was followed by Hershil and Monty who tore into the tail, sweeping away the final two in only 13 balls.

67 was the modest target and huge reward for our faultless fielding and bowling.

Joe opened up alongside Ells and were unfortunate to both lose their wickets just after settling in to a slow pitch after accumulating 18 between them. Dhru came and went despite decent shot crafting and then Adhib made an instant impact scoring 4 off his first ball before falling foul to some excellent Marlow bowling.

This brought Woody to the crease who was sublime in his patience and shot-selection as he carved his way towards winning the game. If the Oscar went to Bowcock for best performance, Oli Oakley claimed best supporting male, as he played the anchor role as Woody crafted his innings.

In the end the result was comfortable as we ran in winners by 5 wickets. The team performance will be hard to top, but special mentions must go to our MVPs Ash Turney for his formidable bowling effort and to Woody Bowcock for his match winning batting display as well as his two wickets.
