Match report Amersham 3rd XI extended their lead at the top of TVL Div 5a on Saturday with a comfortable win over Kew 3rds at Little Kingshill.

Kew were invited to bat first and despite some early boundaries were soon in trouble as Ollie Lansdowne and Callum Tilbury picked up 2 wickets apiece in the first dozen overs. Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals with veteran spinner Mustapha Rajabali taking 3-20 as Kew were dismissed for 131 in 42 overs.

In reply both Amersham openers fell to loose shots, and it was left to Alex Cole (33), Callum Tilbury (45) and Vimal Rajasekeran with a breezy 27 to steer the home side to a comfortable victory.

Next Saturday sees Amersham visit local rivals Marlow, knowing that just 2 more victories from the remaining 5 games should be sufficient to guarantee promotion to Div 4.
