Match report Amersham slipped to only their 2nd defeat of the season on Saturday when, with a weakened team, they were comprehensively outplayed by local rivals Marlow 2nds.

Opting to bat first, the hosts soon overcame the loss of an early wicket to amass a formidable total of 271-4 declared in 46 overs. The Amersham reply got off to the worst possible start with the loss of two wickets in the first two overs,` and despite an assured 51 from C Tilbury and a defiant 34 from A Rogers, the Marlow bowlers were able to take wickets at regular intervals to secure a comfortable victory.
