Scorecard

Windsor 1st v AMERSHAM CC Saturday 1st X1 on Sat 28 Aug 2004 at 12:30pm
AMERSHAM CC Won 8 Wkts

Match report Amersham beat Windsor by 8 wickets. Amersham won the toss and elected to field first on a damp wicket and were rewarded in the second over when Andrew Warner took a great catch at slip (1st of 5 catches) from Duncan Ward's opening over. Both Ward and Sam Martin bowled good line and length and martin was rewarded with a wicket to leave Windsor 10 - 2. Martin then made it 38 - 3 before Mustapha Rajabali and Nick Moore bamboozled Windsor with spin with only Watkins putting up any show of resistance. Rajabali finished with 4 - 42 and Moore a very impressive 3 - 7 from 9 overs.
Amersham still had to work hard for the runs as Spence was bowling very well and making life difficult. Rob Viney batted very well after the early loss of Warner. Viney and Charlie Benetto almost saw Amersham to the target before Bennetto smashed a long hop to square leg. Viney (63*) and Chris Owen saw Amersham home to a comfortable win.

Amersham play Div 1 Champions North Maidenhead at home in there last league game of the season.
