Match report Amersham secured their second win of the season by 5 wickets. Cookham Dean won the toss and elected to bat first. They soon found themselves in trouble with both Ward and Rogers keeping it tight. Cookham Dean soon found themselves 6 - 1 as Ward trapped the opener in front. Cookham Dean started to rebuild the innings and were lucky not to lose more wickets as both batsmen found the edge and escaped. Ward then took 2 wickets in an over to reduced Cookham Dean to 43-3. Rajabali replaced Rogers and kept the Cookham Dean batsmen on the defensive as more wickets started to fall to Rajabali. Both Rajabali and Ward kept the pressure on the batsmen and were ably supported by the fielding. Regular wickets fell and both Rajabali and Ward ended up with 5 wickets as Cookham Dean were all out for 127 in the 41st over.

Amersham's reply got off to a bad start with Weston being caught at mid on for 4. Cowley and jackson set about settling the nerves and put on 50 before Jackson was out. Cowley was joined by Haddock who pushed the score on to 74 before Haddock fell. Cowley followed shortly after with 78 on the board. With plenty of overs left Colquhoun and Dolleymore (ably supported by his fan club) batted without risk to move the score slowly on to 113 before Dolleymore was out. This left Colquhoun and Matthews to see Amersham home with more than 11 overs remaining. This led to scenes of jubilation with 2 of Dolleymore's fanclub doing a strip down to their underwear to run across the square to the delight of everyone.
