Aldershot 1st XI's poor run of form continued this weekend as they succumbed to a disappointing defeat at the picturesque Amersham ground. Amersham batted first and made some headway against a depleted Aldershot bowling line-up with Ward's 70 a highlight before Bobby Gill's 4 wickets pegged Amersham back as they relied on some useful tail-end contributions to reach 181 all out. Skipper Tom Dickson lead the Aldershot innings from the front with a brisk 67 but other contributions were lacking as the innings stalled and eventually crumbled to a lacklustre 148, leaving Aldershot much to think about as they slip to a disappointing 7th place in the Division 3A table
