Match report Lost the toss and put in to bat on a 30 degree day, fast track, quick outfield.

Amersham bowled well with Buchanan, Atkinson and Tilbury picking up 3 each. This fine bowling was supported by an outstanding fielding display with Penton taking two catches down the leg side that were of first class standard. As quoted by a member of the opposition: "you don't expect that sort of behaviour in 2's cricket". Collectively this left Kew struggling with an under-par 119.

The Amersham chase didn't start well with H Jackson getting caught in front to an in-swinging yorker first ball. Stephenson and Haddock quickly settled the innings and quashed any hope Kew had of a collapse. Haddock fell with the score on 43 however Tilbury supported Stephenson to see the total easily chased down in the 19th over.

Champagne moments: Oli Penton's 4 dismissals (3 catches and 1 stumping), Fleming's left handed diving catch in first slip, Stephenson's 75* (including 20 off the last over) and Nick Buchanan managing not to get hit for a 6.
