Match report Amersham slumped to their second successive defeat at Shardeloes on Sunday.

A poor batting performance against some steady bowling sealed their fate. Only Jon S Atkins made a significant contribution with no other batsmen reaching 20. Amersham never recovered from a disastrous start which left them at 27-4 after 20 overs. Atkins carried the score to 93 with 12 overs to go when he was finally dismissed for 55. Sam Martin and Tim Aylott offered some late resistance but Amersham succumbed for 120.

Barnes has 52 overs to score the runs and although they made a slow start they kept wickets in hand ending easy winners with ten overs to spare. The home side never looked like winning and must now bounce back at Hillingdon on Saturday.
