Match report For the second week in a row the second eleven were involved in another nail biting finish. Amersham won the toss and elected to bat first on a glorious sunny day at shardeloes. After 8 overs this didnt seem to be the best decision as Amersham were 4 for 2. Paul Weston (45) and Hugh Jackson (48) then set about rebuilding the innings putting on 90 in the third wicket partnership in 20 overs. Dollymore (20), Ward (27) and Emsley (38) all then contributed to posting 210.

Amersham then got off to the perfect start when Mustapha Rajabali took a wicket in the first over. He was well supported by Jack Rogers as Wooburn were reduced to 24 for 2. Tnennant and Williams then set about building a partnership before Tennant became Rajabali's second victim in a fine spell. Williams and Pidgeon then added 48 before Williams finally fell to Ward after Amersham had taken the new ball. With some tight bowling anf good fielding Wooburn were falling further behind the run rate. Emsley then reduced Wooburn to 139 for 5 with a sharp take from Stephenson behind the stumps. Wooburn kept fighting back to set up a tight finish. Wooburn required 11 from the last two balls and Cuthbert despatched Ward for a six over long off to set up another last ball decider but could only hit a single leaving the game drawn.
