Amersham Cricket Club, set in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, is one of the most beautiful venues in the country, whether for a game of cricket or for a social event.
Our 4 Saturday League teams all compete in the Home Counties Premier League and Morrant Thames Valley League structure. Our 1st XI won the Thames Valley League in 2013, securing promotion to division 2 of the Home Counties Premier League. Since then they have finished 4th and 3rd respectively and will be looking to finish in the top two in 2018, thus gaining promotion to the highest level of recreational club cricket. The 2nd XI claimed promotion from TVL division 3 in 2017 and are now playing in division 2, with sights on promotion to division 2. The 3rd XI backed up their successive promotions by achieving a mid-table finish division 4 with the 4th XI playing in division 9. All 3rd & 4th XI home games are played at the delightful Little Kingshill ground. Our Sunday team plays in the Chess Valley Sunday League. We run a Colts section for both boys and girls from age 5 upwards with competitive matches from U9 to U18, we also enter a team in the ECB U19 T20 competition.
Senior practice evenings are on Thursdays and Colts on Mondays.
New members are always very welcome, whether as new Colts, new senior players or returning ones - we will have a team that will suit your abilities.
With our friendly net sessions and equipment on hand you’ll be able to come along to a summer session and try out the sport to see if you like it.
Social Scene at the Clubhouse
There is a licensed bar at the Clubhouse and Monday evenings are, weather permitting, barbeque nights. The club host events throughout the year providing further social evenings and match days at the clubhouse. All are very welcome.
