Match report A comfortable win in the end although we made it quite hard work. Made to field first, the captain couldn't get the ball out of opener Colin Matthews hands as he kept taking wickets 5 in fact for just 46 with inswinging medium pace. Back to his best indeed but also welcome back to form with the ball from David Mackay who bowled exceptionally well taking 3 for 13 in a mean spell of 10 overs. They were ably supported by three youngsters Callum Tilbury, Ashley Turney and debutant Stuart Silk all showing promise for the future as NPL reached 169 all out.

We needed a good start which we got as Alex showing that there is some talent in the Rogers' family scored 54 as she and David Mackay put on 74 for the first wicket. There was a minor blip in the middle order but Mr not out Renny Adams steadied the ship and saw us home ably supported in the end by Oliver Wilson.

We gained on the two sides above us in the league who both drew and we are just 11 points off the pace at the halfway stage.
