Match report Amersham II clung on for a draw against leaders O.M.T. II at Shardeloes on Saturday.

O.M.T. batted first, but found runs hard to come by on a slow pitch. Mike Garvey (1-28) and Charlie Holloway (3-40) were the most impressive bowlers, as Amersham improved immeasurably from the previous week's collapse. However, Katz (27*) and Coker (30) struck an 8th wicket stand of 50 as O.M.T. recovered to a useful 198-8.

In reply, Amersham's batsmen found the bowling too accurate to keep up with the required run rate, and when wickets began to fall, survival became the only goal. But in-form veteran Ian Rogers whacked a typically defiant 52 including 3 sixes, and the tail managed to hold out for a draw at 132-9, picking up 2 useful batting points the process.
