the season is fast approaching with the first pre-season matches scheduled for the 15th April. A pre-season interclub match had also been arranged for the 8th April but with the persistent rain throughout March, and more scheduled for the remainder of this week, we have unfortunately had to cancel this fixture to give the pitches the best possible start for the season ahead. However, on the 8th April we would still like to host our first outdoor net session, starting at 2pm. Following this, the bar will be open to give the opportunity to discuss the season ahead and to integrate the new players who have joined the club. If the weather on the 8th is inclement, then the bar will be open from 4pm. This should be seen as an important part of the cricketing calendar, effectively becoming our opening day.
Also, looking ahead to the new season, it is important that your availability is recorded on the club website for the upcoming weeks (Saturday and Sunday), to help the captains select teams. It makes a huge difference in our ability to pick teams but also plan for the upcoming weeks. If you have forgotten your password there is a reset link on the website. If you are still having problems please contact us directly.
Please also note that there is one more indoor net session taking place on Saturday 1 April at Challoners 10-12pm. It would be great to see as many of you as possible there before we venture outside!
