Some of you will remember Ivor Atkins who has sadly died at the grand old age of 93. He was our groundsman during the late sixties and seventies producing superb wickets which resulted in Shardeloes being the ground of choice for major games against first class counties in the Gillette Cup.
He left us to become head groundsman at Blundells School, Tiverton where the funeral will be held on a date to be announced. He was one of life's true gentlemen.
