Match report Amersham suffered a crushing defeat to Chesham in the first game of the season. Only managing to field 9 players didn't help. Chesham won the toss and batted first and after losing 2 quick wickets Gardiner and Saunders put on a century partnership before Gardiner fell to Rajabali and Saunders then fell to Ward. Chesham ended their 40 overs with 248 for 4.

Amersham got off to a good start with both Cowley and Collison finding the boundary before Steve Ayres took the first of his five wickets. Only Paul Weston (23) and Duncan Ward (24) managed to get to double figures and Amersham were bowled out for 87 in 24.2 overs.

Things can only get better!
