Match report Amersham lost to a strong Hayes side with only 11 balls left in the game. Hayes won the toss and elected to bat first. Hayes got off to a good start before Amersham got into the game. Hayes batted well with their skipper Pedersen leading the way with a good 90. Amersham did manage to control some of the innings but with wickets in hand Hayes managed to post a decent score in 50 overs.

Amersham got off to a a steady start and were 69 - 2 before a mid order collapse saw them reduced to 73 - 6 and effectively ending any chance of Amersham winning the game. Chris Cowley was then joined by Alex Matthews who swung the bat freely to dispatch the Hayes bowling to all parts in scoring 47 and giving some respectibility to the score. Amersham looked like they could hold on for a draw but it was not to be.
