Match report Amersham came close to beating Wokingham but ended up 5 runs short. Wokingham won the toss and elected to bat first. Amersham got off to a flyer with Matt McKay striking in his first over and Duncan Ward getting another in the next over to leave Wokingham 0 -2. Wokingham then set about rebuilding their innings with skipper Gary Fleming leading the way with a solid 63. Amersham maintained their hold on the game with McKay and Tom Dixon picking up wickets at crucial times. However then Amersham let the game slip in the last 15 overs of Wokingham's innings with some strong hitting from Bobb and Wilson allowing Wokingham to set Amersham 248 to win.

Amersham's reply got off to a brilliant start with Paul Weston and Ben Matthews putting on 154 for the first wicket. With 18 overs left Amersham were in the driving seat requiring 90 runs to win. However Amersham found themselves then 171 - 4 with 11 overs to go. Hugh Jackson and Chris Cowley then brought Amersham within touching distance of the winning post. With 3 overs left Amersham still required 36 runs to win. With 1 over left Amersham required 8. Chris Cowley was then run out with 6 required and 3 balls left. Ward joined Jackson and pushed a single. 5 required with 2 balls left but it was not to be and Jackson was bowled with the final ball of the game. Amersham now require 2 wins and some results to go their way to avoid the drop.
