Match report Amersham won their last league game of the season against Cookham Dean by 7 wickets. Cookham Dean won the toss and elected to bat first. They were soon 2 down as Ward accounted for both openers with 24 on the board. Cookham Dean then rebuilt the innings before Ward picked up his 3rd wicket in the 15th over when Cookham Dean had reached 64. It then took a double bowling change before Amerhsam took another wicket. Amersham turned to the two young leg spinners of Chris Cooke and Ben Matthews. Cooke soon continued his hot streak by claiming a wicket in his second over with the score on 84. Cooke and Matthews kept it tight and Cooke ended up with another 5 wicket haul and Matthews ended up with 2 wickets as Cookham Dean collapsed and were all out for 127.

Amersham got off to a shaky start and were 25 - 3 before Ben Matthews and Richard Stephenson made sure there were no more scares as they slowly but surely put on a partnership of 105 to see Amersham past the winning post. Matthews ending up on 57 not out and Stephenson on 55 not out.
