Match report Another cold evening, another impressive performance by Amersham.
Ashley Turney once again put the opposition bowling to the sword with a sometimes brutal, but mostly elegant 79 - how long before 100 in a 20/20?
The supporting cast were as usual there providing good support and Amersham posted a very respectable 148, a challanging total in the caribbean, never mind Chenies & Latimer!
Chenies did not produce the same heroics that Australia were doing against Pakistan at the same time and Amersham contained the opposition with tight bowling & good fielding. Brief resistance was put up by Bailey(42), but chasing the Amersham total proved too big a task as was witnessed by two run outs.
Another great Amersham performance to keep us on top of the league - let's stay there!
Thanks again to the Matthews family for the umpiring / scoring support roles - I'm sure it will get warmer soon!
