Match report The end of a wonderful season and having won the league..............we've now won the Final of the Bucks Plate. The coach was away, so were regular captain Jack and stalwart team mates Will, Callum and D-C. Sister Alex took over as Captain, won the toss and batted.

The first text arrives in France 'Woody out first ball, 18 for 1 off 3'. Coach is slightly twitchy and pours a glass of cold Rose!

Next text 'Ben Matthews and Hugh Coles smashing it everywhere 68 for 1 off 9'. That's better, nerves less tingly now.

But then 'Hugh's out(39) so's Michael Viney so's Alex 96 for 4 off 15'. Another glass of wine is called for!

Then nothing until the end of the innings '147 for 4 off 20 with Ben 80 not out and Rob Lloyd 17 not out'. Not bad thinks the coach, well done Ben.

No contact for what seems an age until 'They're 60 for none off 9'. This could be close! Ben takes two wickets and supported by Hugh and Alex who take one apiece the run rate is slowed and Chalfont need 24 off the last over. They manage 7 from a very tidy over from Hugh and the final text is 'we won by 16 runs'. Thank you Stuart for managing the day and well done everyone concerned.
