Match report Amersham continued their winning run with an excellent all round performance on an unusually quick and bouncy wicket at Shardeloes. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first, and were soon in trouble as Jaco Nel took advantage of the conditions to remove Lowe and Pearce early. There followed a calamitous period of play, and the hosts spurned a number of chances to remove the dangerous Friedrichs, as he and Mistry moved Kew to 81. Just before drinks both fell in quick succession to the tight bowling of Dixon and Viney respectively. Thereafter Nel dominated, ending with figures of 6 for 53, with only Dunn providing any real resistance, as Kew reached 142 all out.

Kew's decision to start with the old ball suited Amersham's openers Abhay Mayer (72)and Andy Viney (53). Mayer in particular was agressive against the spinners, and Viney dispatched anything loose. The game was won by the time both were out, leaving thje imperious Cann to finish things off as ominous clouds loomed.
