Match report Andy Viney, in typical Sunday fashion, decided to bat with out considering the state of the wicket. As a result this made things difficult for openers Langley and Tilbury. AV managed not to score his customary Sunday friendly hundred. Maybe this is a sign he will score runs on Saturdays this season. In the tough conditions Mayer (24) and H Jackson (43) struggled to score with at any real pace and we got to 84/3 after 26 overs. Mayer departed trying to dispatch the off spinner into the cornfield. S Rogers (some of you may know him as W.I.F.) came to the crease and proceeded to hit 10 off his first 3 balls. Giving up on his usual orthodox batting, he made use of the short leg-side boundary and finished with 55 off 24 balls including 6 sixs. Rogers was ably supported by Lansdowne (22).

Not much to say about the bowling display mainly because I didn't bowl, but the highlights of the inning was watching the U15s put what they have learnt on Monday nights into practice in the field. Your coach has outdone himself.
