Match report Winning the toss and electing to field, we were besieged by a formidable knock of 87 by the GK opener. In spite of this Ed bowled very well in his two spells; picking up a wicket in each. Oli Oakley had a very good two overs; picking up one wicket bowled, and he was unlucky not to get a second. Elsewhere, Lanny, Monty, Hersh all bowled well, and Ash could have had 4 or five wickets, but alas claimed just 2.

157 was the target and the reply was 110. A conglomeration of misfortune, mis-hits and missing the red thing with some string on it was our downfall. After Woody fell the wrong side of luck, Aah injected some real energy into the effort with 32 runs hit with gusto. Ollie's fine display was cruelly ended with a ball that could not keep lower if it tried. After this wicket our innings entered some manifestation of a Lewis Carroll labyrinth of dark decadence, and it was down to lusty blows from Lochie, Hersh, and Monty to bring some light back into the innings, but in the end it wasn't enough.

Not one to remember, but on to the next one
