Match report A curious game, dominated by a couple of strange moments. Amersham batted first and were quickly reduced to 14-3 in the 5th over. P Langley and Weston set about rebuilding with cautious defense intersperced with the odd bludgeon to the boundary. Hampered by a pulled fetlock, Weston departed to the pastures for the afternoon to allow our overseas player, Mr Charley Crasborn to display more than a little skill with the bat and though himself badly wounded (!!) with a tight hamstring his resulting parterships with Langley and Tilbury saw Amersham through to a competitive 203.

In reply the Beaconsfield innings was dominated by a well made 99 from Sheperd, though the Amersham team and onlookers were bemused ( to say the very least ) by a decision for a bump ball that reprieved him early into his innings - and thereafter there was only ever going to be one outcome as the home attack failed to bowl tightly enough to stem the flow of runs. Victory for Beaconsfield came with overs to spare and left Amersham with plenty to ponder.
