Scorecard

Chenies & Latimer 3 v AMERSHAM CC Saturday 3rd X1 on Sat 28 Jul 2012 at 13:00
AMERSHAM CC Won by 8 wickets

Match report Amersham completed a straightforward victory over Chenies & Latimer at Chesham Bois to move into the top half of Division 9b.

Chenies batted first and showed positive intent, but they lost momentum when batsman Mike Pickard was hospitalised after sustaining a nasty injury to his lip after top-edging a pull-shot. The 9 wickets were shared among all five bowlers: Pacemen Ollie Lansdowne (1-26) and Tim Aylott (2-34), pacewoman Alex Rogers (2-15), and spinners Chris Cooke (3-0) and Felix Allum (1-2) – who made short work of the tail.

Amersham had 75 overs to score the 92 runs required for victory, although there was a bizarre 50 minute delay when an air ambulance landed on the outfield to attend a nearby incident. Once the game resumed Sattish Subbiah (43) and Jonny Andrews (20 not out) produced an array of boundaries as the visitors cantered to victory in 15 overs.
