Match report Burnham won the toss and elected to bat first. This proved to be a crucial game as both teams were locked on the same number of points in second place in the league.

Ward (4-31) returning from a holiday in Mallorca bowled a fantastic spell at the start with a very few bad balls bowled. Fully deserved his 4 wickets. Owen (4-24) bowled first change and got the crucial breakthrough by removing Burnham's number four who was scoring freely. We took regular wickets and with Ahmed (1-21) and Atkinson (1-13) returning with very economical figures we required 123 to win from 49 overs.

Nguyen (14) and Shuttle(11) opened the batting positively and when both were removed Owen (42 n.o) and Stephenson (30 n.o) saw us reach the victory target with ease. Both Owen and Stephenson hit beautiful sixes towards the end to see us comfortably reach the 123 required.

Burnham 3's 3 points. Amersham 2's 20 points.

A very important victory which sees us go to the top of the league. However we must continue to perform with some tough games coming up which starts at Shardeloes vs Cookham Dean on Saturday.
