Match report The day after the final league game of the season is not usually the most enjoyable, but what followed was a well crafted friendly game against a well matched opposition.

After losing the toss, the captain's moral was low. However, having been asked to decide anyway, a bat was in order for the Amersham casuals. Tilbury, Weston and Ali made a good platform for the innings, but Joubert's fireworks towards the end saw us make 239 declared.

In reply, we found taking wickets difficult. The Frogs managed to fend off all our attacks and score a few runs in the process. It wasn't until the introduction of Joubert that we saw a breakthrough. Sham bowled well for his 2 wickets but we couldn't manage the last one - falling 1 wicket short of victory.

Fitting that Stephan would be man of the match as it's his last game for Amersham this season. He's been fantastic for us this year.
