AMERSHAM CC Won by 21 runs

Match report A satisfying victory by a comfortable margin. We rapidly reached 93-0 thanks to a very effective opening stand between Joubert and Owen. We then experienced a rather dramatic collapse which left us on 135-8. However, Haseeb Ali and Callum Tilbury's tenth wicket partnership of 35 helped us to a respectable 179 all out.

We bowled and fielded very professionally throughout the whole of Chesham's innings. All the bowlers were fairly economical. Joubert (3-20) and Tilbury (1-21) made key contributions in restricting Chesham 2's to 158-9.

A very useful final friendly game which sets us up nicely for the first league game next Saturday vs Ruislip. It is vital that we start the league season with a positive result.
