Match report Amersham travelled to Beaconsfield for the Bucks under 11’s league finals day, both teams have had a fantastic season, this game was going to be a ‘cracker’.
A strong Beaconsfield team won the toss and elected to bat posting a very respectable 108, with their top order all making runs. Amersham bowled and fielded very tightly to restrict the Beaconsfield runs, the highlights were Joe Weston, 4 overs 4 runs for 2 wickets and Ryan Treadwell taking two key wickets off 3 overs with high quality line and length bowling.
Amersham batting reply was outstanding from the outset, pinch hitter Thomas Cocking setting the tone from the very first over with some fantastic shots, when Thomas was out stumped, Nick Blagg entered the arena.
Nick batted sensibly and positively making an excellent 30 (retired) to put Amersham in a fantastic position with 53 runs after 10 overs. Archie Palmer then made a quick fire 19 with some big hits around the ground, this inning gave Amersham some breathing space and the luxury to win in the 17th over, with Daniel Cox and Henry Ferneyhough seeing the boys home.
This victory capped off an outstanding season for the under 11’s losing only one game all season, well done!!!!
