Match report Persistent rain prevented any action outside today, although a competitive game of stump cricket evolved in the pavilion. This included some impressive 'bowling' from Ward, which was unexpected because there was no sun to be seen. Rob Viney continued his rehabilitation with a typically laidback performance keeping wicket on one of the bar stools, while Luke opted to protect his boyish good looks by wearing a helmet at 1st slip. Chris Cann took it all far too seriously and left dozens of deliveries on the trot, while Tom and Matt discussed their projected 8 mile run. Jim paced around waiting for the game to be officially called off. Your correspondent left before that decision was reached and went to the Natural History museum at Tring instead. Word was recieved from absent all rounder Chris Owen that we should have relocated the game to Florence where it was a sultry 35 degrees Centigrade.
