Match report Amersham 3rd XI ensured they were promoted as champions of TVL Div 5a by collecting 7 points from their abandoned game away to Hayes 2nds on Saturday.

Electing to bat first, the hosts were indebted to a hugely entertaining innings of 127 by R Lall as they otherwise struggled to 210 all out in 40 overs. Freddie Bowcock with 3-36 and Alex Cole with 2-16 were the pick of the Amersham bowlers, with the rest of the attack regularly dispatched to the boundary. In reply, Amersham were 86-4 when the rain arrived to signal the end of proceedings with the game finely poised.
