AMERSHAM CC Saturday 2nd X1 v Windsor 2nd on Sat 01 Jun 2002 at 1:30pm
Match was Drawn
Match report
Amersham, despite being well under-strength, had the best of a draw against Windsor II at Shardeloes. Amersham batted first, and Rob Viney looked set for another big score before being given out handling the ball! Tim Aylott settled into the anchor role scoring 65, and Jamie Hudson cracked 46 not out as Amersham posted a challenging 191-6.
Mike Garvey and Charlie Holloway both had fine opening spells to break through the top order, and subsequently Windsor never looked likely to reach their target. Amersham attacked with leg spinner Harry Heslop picking up 3 wickets, and although Garvey came back at the death to claim the wicket of Wing for 69, Windsor held out for a draw.
