Match report Amersham II extended their unbeaten run to 9 games against Chalfont St Peter II at Shardeloes, but they were second-best for most of the day.
Chalfont opted to bat first on a hot day, but lost early wickets to Charlie Holloway (3-79). However, despite good work also from Jamie Toates and Paul Weston, the middle order recovered well through Gooch (78) and Machin (68*) to post an impressive 230-5 off their 52 overs.

Amersham never quite managed to maintain the required run rate, despite a well crafted innings from Andrew Viney (37) and a typically hard-hitting knock from Ian Rogers (49). Wickets fell at regular intervals, but thanks mainly to Shamil Mubarak (25*), the match was saved with 2 wickets in hand, 40 short of the target.
