Scorecard

Marlow Park 1st v AMERSHAM CC Saturday 1st X1 on Sat 05 Jun 2004 at 1:30pm
AMERSHAM CC Won 10 Wkts

Match report Amersham recorded their first league win of the season in emphatic style by 10 wickets.
Marlow Park won the toss and elected to bat. They were soon in trouble as John Lishman dismissed Trott with the second ball of the game. Duncan Ward followed this up with 2 wickets in his third over and another in his following over to have Marlow Park struggling at 32 -4.

Having destroyed the top order Amersham turned to the spin twins of Nick Moore and Mustapha Rajabali to finish off the Marlow Park tail.

Moore took a wicket in his third over making it 55 - 5 in the 13th over. The Marlow Park lower order were then on the receiving end of a masterclass of spin bowling from Mustapha Rajabali as he took 5 wickets for 10 runs in 5.2 overs to dismiss Marlow Park for 84. There were pockets of resistance and A Ali caused the watching crowd to dive for cover as he cleared the boundary with a mighty swing of his bat only to be bowled the next ball.

Amersham's opening pair of Rob Viney and John Andrews made short work of chasing this low total with Andrews being particularly severe on anything short or off line, hitting one big six clear out of the ground into neighbouring Marlow Cricket Club. Amersham wrapped up the game in 13.2 overs.
