Match report Amersham came crashing back to reality with a crushing defeat at Thatcham Town. Thatcham Town won the toss and asked Amersham to bat first on a hard fast track. Amersham soon found themselves in trouble from the accurate bowling of the Thatcham openers. Things didn't improve and Amersham struggled to cope with the extra pace and bounce being generated. Only Charlie Bennetto and Duncan Ward managed to get into double figures as Amersham were skittled out in 19 overs.
Thatcham Town made short work of knocking off the runs with Ediriweera hitting 51 not out to go with the 5 wickets he picked up. Amersham picked up a couple of consolation wickets but a much improved performance is required this week against Windsor.
