Match report Amersham returned to winnings way by beating Windsor by 7 wickets.
On a grey afternoon Amersham won the toss and elected to field first with rain clouds looming. Windsor got off to a good start as Amersham struggled to shake off the effects of the Summer Ball the night before. Amersham's fielding was ragged and managed to spill a number of chances in the first hour. It took the introduction of Mustapha Rajabali to make the breakthrough with 87 on the board. Huggins started to tuck into the Amersham attack launching some huge sixes. Bird made 57 before he was well taken on the boundary by Charlie Bennetto. Amersham worked their way back into the match as Mustapha Rajabali and Nick Moore bowled well in tandem to start to restrict the runs. At 163 - 5 Windsor looked to post a 200 plus score. Rajabali and Moore restricted Windsor to only 20 more runs as they collapsed to 183 all out.

Amersham's reply got off to a poor start as Windsor attacked with Mohindru and Spence bowling well at the start. Amersham were 14 - 1 when Rob Viney gave a simple chance to Thompson that was gratefully received. Amersham were soon in greater trouble as Bennetto went for 1 to make it 16 - 2. John Andrews chanced his arm to get the score moving and Andrew Warner batted conservatively as they tried to build a partnership. Andrews went with the score on 52. The result was in the balance as Rich Stephenson joined Warner in what would be the winning stand. Warner passed 50 and then opened up and smashed the Windsor bowling to all parts as the weather looked like interfering and denying Amersham a worthy victory. Warner (101 not out) was well supported by Stephenson who made a vital 35 to see Amersham home by 7 wickets.

Amersham travel to league leaders North Maidenhead on Saturday for what will be a stern challenge. North Maidenhead have won all their matches so far this season.
