Match report Amersham secured a comprehensive win against Hillingdon to remain unbeaten in the league. Hillingdon won the toss and elected to bat first and soon found themselves in trouble as David Atkinson took two wickets in the second over of the game to leave Hillingdon 5 - 2. Mohammed and Corbin then set about rebuilding the innings and put on 38 before Nick Moore removed Mohammed in his first over. Nick Moore and David Atkinson bowled well in tandem and Nick Moore ripped through Hillingdon's middle order taking 5 wickets in his first 4 overs to leave Hillingdon struggling at 60 - 7 after 21 overs. A Akram and Z Akram then batted sensibly adding 63 in 23 overs as Amersham changed the bowling around looking for the next wicket. The reintroduction of Atkinson saw Amersham finally break the partnership by bowling Z Akram and then he claimed the final 2 wickets to end up with 5. Hillingdon 130 all out.
Amersham's run chase got off to a solid start with Chris Owen and Andy Robertson adding 36 before Robertson gloved a good ball to the keeper. Chris Owen (42 not out) anchored the innings superbly and was well supported by Dan Colquhuon (39) as they added 75 in 15 overs with some lusty blows. With 20 required Colquhuon was trapped in front but the result was never in doubt as Amersham had plenty of overs and wickets in hand. Luke Jackson made short work of adding the required runs ending up 19 not out of 9 deliveries to see Amersham home in 26.3 overs.
