Match report Amersham held on for a draw against Stoke Green.
Amersham won the toss and elected to field first. On a difficult wicket Amersham were soon rewarded with Tom Dixon taking the first wicket but Patel and Patdiwala batted very well together to keep the scoreboard ticking along at a reasonable rate.

A change of bowling brought success with Nick Moore removing Patel. Patdiwala was the mainstay of the Stoke Green innings scoring a very impressive 91. He was well supported by Rupani and Kumar as Amersham struggled to keep their normal tight lines. Stoke Green used up all their allotted overs to post 210 - 5.

Amersham got off to a patient start with Rob Viney and Andy Robertson having a good look at the bowling. Patdiwala and Kumar were turning the ball square on a track that took a huge amount of spin to suit the home side.

Robertson was the first to go when he was adjudged caught behind. Viney and Chris Owen made steady progress before Viney was caught at slip. Amersham were making slow but steady progress against a good spin attack but lost wickets at crucial times but the innings was held together by Dan Colquhuon who made a very good 74. At 106 - 7 off 33 overs Amersham were looking at the prospect of their first defeat of the season but Dan Colquhuon and David Atkinson put up a resilient performance with Colquhuon making sure that Amersham picked vital batting points to remain clear at the top of the league.
