Match report Amersham were held to a draw by Gerrards Cross. Gerrards Cross won the toss and asked Amersham to bat first. Rob Viney and Andy Robertson got Amersham off to a good start as they put on 102 for the first wicket. Robertson was the first to go for 43 and Viney followed shortly for 62 as Amersham were pinned back to 112 - 2. Chris Owen then anchored the innings and with Weston and Andrews they moved the score onto 172 - 4 after 36 overs. Owen was then joined by Matt Ash and the pair added 52 in 8 overs as Amersham looked to set an imposing target. Both players batted well as Amersham looked to score quickly.
Chris Owen eventually went for 55 and Ash (43 not out) helped push the score on to 265 with quick contributions from Ward, Lishman and Dixon.

Gerrards Cross reply got off to a bad start losing a wicket in the first over. Eddie Waugh and Richard Graham then built a solid partnership as they added 124 for the second wicket before Graham was run out by a sharp piece of fielding from Jonny Andrews. With 17 overs remaining Gerrards Cross needed 139 to win. With overs running out Gerrards Cross looked to force the issue only to find wily veteran Mustapha Rajabali and Nick Moore bowling well to keep Amersham on top. Waugh (72) was eventually caught by Jonny Andrews on the boundary off Rajabali's bowling to make it 136 - 3. To Gerrards Cross credit they kept going for it only to find the safe hands of Ash on the Long On boundary and Owen at slip as Rajabali took 5 - 61. Wickets kept falling at regular intervals as the match petered out into a draw.
