Match report Amersham's match against Chenies and Latimer was washed out on Saturday but not before Amersham found themselves in trouble. Electing to bat first Amersham were soon under pressure as Chenies used the conditions well as Amersham got off to a slow start.
Amersham lost their first wicket with some quick thinking by the keeper who stumped Viney with the score on 16. Chenies took the second wicket quickly as Chris Owen guided the ball to gully that made it 17 - 2. Chenies had their tails up and the third wicket fell for 24 as Matt Ash was trapped in front.

Andy Robertson and Jonny Andrews then started a recovery as they put on 35 for the 4th wicket before Robertson was bowled for 26. At 59 - 5 Chenies were well on top and kept the pressure on the Amersham middle order. Andrews was joined by Ollie Haddock and once again looked to be getting Amersham out of a tight hole when Andrews became Dave Brown's 4th wicket from a tidy opening spell.

Haddock was joined by Duncan Ward but Haddock was soon on his way as Amersham slipped to 79 - 6. Ward and Jonny Lishman looked to steady the innings with Ward playing a patient innings and still dispatching the bad ball to the boundary. Lishman was undone by a straight one and Amersham were 96 - 7. Ward was joined by Brad Holt and in between the showers managed to get the score passed 100 with Ward dominating the partnership and Holt playing the ball carefully.

Holt was eventually out after a partnership of 35 leaving Amersham at 131 - 8. Rajabali joined Ward and only 5 more runs were added before the heavens opened again and the game was called off leaving Ward on 49 not out.
