Match report Amersham completed their league campaign as Champions of Division 2B with a 5 wicket defeat to Stoke Green.
Amersham batted first and Andy Robertson and Rob Viney got the innings off to a steady start against some tight bowling. Robertson was the first out with the score on 28. Chris Owen and Rob Viney then batted carefully and pushed the score on to 92 before Owen (29) fell to Patdiwala and Dan Colqhuhoun and Luke Jackson also followed in the same over. Amersham were struggling at 92 - 4. Rob Viney anchored the inning very well for 75 and was given some good support by Ollie Haddock (19) before he was out with the score on 132.

Once Viney went Duncan Ward and Tom Dixon pushed the score along to set Stoke Green 177 to win. Amersham had already secured the league title when they reached 100.

Stoke Green went about the target in a very positive manner and lost 5 wickets on the way to a comfortable win. Mustapha Rajabali took the first 2 wickets but the Stoke Green middle order had some fun smashing the ball to all parts. The other wickets were taken by Chris Owen, Luke Jackson and Duncan Ward.

Amersham can look forward to a return to Division 1 next season.
