Match report The Sunday 1sts recorded their first win of the season after a good all round performance. After losing the toss and being asked to bowl, Amersham's new ball partnership of Tilbury and Chapman produced a testing opening spell to the game. Downsiders found themselves 40-3 at the end of the 12th over. Some good rebuilding work from the middle order, Carrick (47) in particular, saw the score reach 123-4. Carrick then fell to a good catch by Rogers on the deep midwicket boundary off Varoonan. This started a collapse as Varoonan picked up 3 more wickets in his next 5 balls and they were subsequently bowled out for 151.

Amersham found it tough early on against the new ball, and with runs hard to come by they lost 2 wickets with the score on 35. As Liyanapathiranage went reverse sweeping with 78 on the board the game looked like it was going to be tight. But an unbeaten 4th wicket partnership of 79 between Langley (55) and Jackson (43) saw Amersham cross the line with relative comfort.
