Match report After losing the toss, Amersham U17s where put into bat on a very bowler friendly wicket. And after 3 overs Amersham found themselves 22-2. Stuart Rogers entered at this stage, and found himself back in the pavilion after 7 overs had gone, but not before he had hit 24 runs off 15 deliveries. After which Ollie Devine (44) and Alex Rogers (23) took centre stage and got the score up to 119 for 4 after 19 overs. However, we could not improve on this in the last over as Chalfont St Peter’s captain, Gulati (15-5), took 3 wickets in the final over of the innings for just 1 run. We finished on 120-7, a good score on a bowlers wicket.

Amersham went out to field seeming rather confident. However they were brought back to earth when their opposition reached the end of the 6th over on 38-1. However, solid bowling performances from Alex and Jack Rogers had restricted them to 68 –3 off 14 overs, leaving Chalfont St Peter a lot to do. Next Ben Huxham (15-2) came on and bowled extremely well and with the help of captain Stuart Rogers (18-2) Amersham bowled Chalfont St Peter out for 98.

Man of the Match: my man of the match is Ollie Devine and his innings of 44. He batted sensibly and kept us in the match at 43-3.
