Match report With all Amersham's league games being called off due to adverse weather it was only the Sunday XI that managed to play at the weekend.
Frogs won the toss and elected to bat first on a slightly damp wicket. Duncan Ward and Jamie Toates made the batsmen work hard for their runs with good opening spell. Toates was rewarded for his good bowling by getting one through the defence of Phillips. Kiwi Corker, Jeremy Good came on first change and got into his stride straight away and took the second wicket. John Lishman and David Sidebottom then took over the bowling from Good and Ward as the Frogs went into lunch at 88 - 2.

Lishman then took two wickets in the first over after lunch and SIdebottom bamboozled the batsmen with good flight and guile. Sidebottom was rewarded for his patience with 3 wickets as the Frogs struggled, Chris Owen chipped in with 2 wickets as Frogs were 174 all out from 63 overs.

Amersham's reply got off to a good start with Rob Viney and Andy Robertson taking the score to 41 before Viney hit a ball like a train at mid wicket who didn't have time to get out of the way and took a good catch.

Robertson and Chris Owen took the score onto 85 before Amersham suffered a mini collapse to leave the game finally balanced at 94 - 5 when Harry Heslop joined Duncan Ward. With 20 overs to go Amersham required 80 runs to win. Ward and Heslop steadily nudged Amersham nearer to victory with a stand of 57. Both batted sensibly and the odd boundary helped keep Amersham in the hunt for victory. Heslop finally departed with 6 overs left and 24 runs required. John Lishman supported Ward (62*) as Amersham won with an over to spare.
