Match report Amersham moved further clear at the top of the division helped by some favourable results and a hard fought five wicket victory over lowly Great Brickhill. The match actually was a battle between two individuals Graeme Carter and Rob Viney.

Opting to bat first Great Brickhill were soon in trouble at 23-4 four as Alex Lines and Sam Helm ripped through the top order and at 69-5 Rob Viney had caught all five. Graeme Carter was the only batsman for the home side to make any headway against the Amersham bowlers and ended on 72 out of a total of 125 all out.

Amersham made a jittery response in their chase for victory and at 77-5 Graeme Carter had taken three catches. Rob Viney however batted serenely to continue his excellent form ending on 84 not out off just 81 balls as, aided by a solid Chris Owen, they saw the leaders home to victory by a comfortable 5 wickets.

Shipton-under-Wychwood visit Shardeloes next week in an attempt to stop the Amersham bandwagon.
